A BUSINESS event firm is bringing its expertise to Portsmouth in the hope of helping firms in the region prosper.

Memo Events is behind the successful Hampshire Business Expo, held annually in Basingstoke.

Its founder, Matthew Larcome, said that around 30 per cent of the expo’s exhibitors were from the Gosport and Portsmouth area, and asked for a similar event to be held in the city.

It will take place at the Pyramids Centre on October 18, from 9.30am.

Matthew said: ‘We have more than 70 businesses which have already signed up to exhibit, and we have space for more.

‘The event is for all the people who want to find out about starting up a new business.

‘They connections they will need to have will be at the event.

‘It’s about trying to promote businesses in Portsmouth to other businesses.’

There will be a series of seminars running all day, with a focus on prosperity in business.

Keynote speakers Ian Dickson and James Potter have been confirmed for the event.

‘The businesses coming to this event will go away so inspired to grow and prosper, it’s going to be so exciting,’ added Matthew.
