THE Stagecoach engineering team at Portsmouth bus depot has a new assistant engineering manager.

Simon Davis has been a coach builder since he began a four-year apprenticeship with Portsmouth City Transport’s engineering department in 1983.

And when Stagecoach took it over in 1990, he did a stint at the Chichester depot before returning to Portsmouth in 1997.

The depot’s team of 28 engineers and technicians maintain a fleet of 64 single and double-decker buses.
