A COACH firm is looking to the future after welcoming new employees.

Lucketts Travel Group, based at Broadcut, in Fareham, has employed seven new members reflecting the firm’s growth and plans for expansion.

The new roles include a finance director, general manager and product assistant.

Joint managing director Ian Luckett said: ‘As Lucketts Travel Group looks to the future and continues to expand the business, it is right that we invest in our management team, with the addition of a general manager and a finance director.

‘Having the right people in the business is key as we move forward.’

Mike Allcock, the new finance director, has a background in helping family-run firms achieve their potential.

He said: ‘I started out working for big corporates but was much more comfortable working for family firms.

‘Lucketts is still a family-run firm but, with an expected turnover this year of close to £23m and staff of around 300 it is a significant business and it is an exciting time to join it.’

The firm has also appointed Clive Howard as general manager for its tour and excursion business.

Brian Langford is the new business development manager and Emma Veness, 19, is following in her father’s footsteps to produce the firm’s range of holidays. Ruth Grossett, Katy Watson and Chloe Smith have also joined.
