FAREHAM Leisure Centre has become the first leisure centre in the country to achieve outstanding in an industry assessment.
Quest is the UK Quality Scheme for Sport and Leisure which helps to manage leisure facilities and leisure developments across the UK.
The assessment is a two-year cycle which includes mystery visits and assessments.
Ian Cook, the general manager of the centre in Park Lane, said: ‘The team is extremely passionate about providing an excellent service to our customers and continually looks for ways to improve.
‘Our customers have been very supportive throughout the process and are equally as proud of this national achievement.’
He added: ‘We are fortunate to have the support from Fareham Borough Council which enables the centre to evolve and meet the ever-changing needs of the local community.
‘All in all it’s an incredible achievement.’
