FAREHAM’S Dan Leppard has a bright future ahead after completing an apprenticeship scheme.

The 21-year-old completed a four-year course with Fareham-based firm Kern, which specialises in delivering mailroom solutions.

He was congratulated by the company, and training charity PETA, which organised his training, at a presentation.

Dan, who is now a customer service engineer, said: ‘It’s brilliant and I am happy about completing the course.

‘There are always new pieces of equipment being released and things to learn.’

His line manager Steve Merson said: ‘Dan has been an excellent apprentice and has achieved every goal set for him.

‘He is conscientious and willing to learn which has enabled his technical knowledge to expand.’

Engineering training assessor Phil Brooke added: ‘PETA have worked closely with Kern and candidate apprentices to ensure the most suitable candidate is recruited for key roles.’
