EMPLOYEES of local firms got into the Christmas spirit at an evening filled with festive food and wreath making.

Secretaries and personal assistants at Colt International, Sumika Polymer Compounds, and Hitachi UK, in Havant, were treated to glasses of mulled wine and mince pies at The Brookfield Hotel, in Havant Road, Emsworth, last Thursday.

Guests were also given a masterclass in how to make wreaths from Christmas decorations, holly and garden foliage, which was led by wholesale flowers business Nursery Fresh, based at Lakesmere Road, Horndean.

The evening was set up by the hotel as a way of saying thank you to the companies, who regularly use its space for business conferences and corporate lunches and dinners.

John Waddington, sales and marketing director at Nursery Fresh, said: ‘Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves .’

therapeutic. Everyone was focused on making some brilliant designs. We all got into the Christmas spirit.’
