THE film Confessions of a Shopaholic is to be broadcast on Portsmouth’s Big Screen as part of the city’s Shopping Festival.

The movie tells the story of gardening journalist Rebecca Bloomwood, played by Isla Fisher, who is addicted to shopping but dreams of writing for fashion magazine Alette.

Guildhall Square, where the film will be shown on Sunday, will also be hosting an international food market and bar as part of the festival. The free screening starts at 1pm, and seating will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

The festival runs until September 28.
