A COMMUNITY finance institution has been shortlisted for an innovation award.

Portsmouth’s Parity Trust, based in North Harbour, is in the running for the Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards, run in partnership with the Community Development Finance Association.

Ben Hughes, chief executive of the CDFA, said: ‘The judges were impressed with the inspiring work of Parity Trust.’

It is the first time the global awards have been held in the UK, and the winners will be revealed at a ceremony in Bristol on February 12.
