FOUR businesses have joined forces to support the winning ambitions of a cycling team in the south.

Team Primera-TeamJobs, with one of the riders from Gosport – Alex Collins, 18 – was officially unveiled at a launch event held at The Italian Villa, Compton Acres, in Poole.

The newly kitted-out team comprises nine riders competing in competitions across southern England in the March to September racing calendar, with four wins already notched up.

It can cost more than £35,000 a year to fund a dedicated cycling team, from racing attire, bikes and transport costs to mechanical help and race entry fees.

Specialist cycle shop Primera, recruitment agency TeamJobs, law firm Ellis Jones and vehicles dealership Breeze Volkswagen are all official sponsors.
