PEOPLE worried about government benefits reform are being invited to a free advice day.
The Plaza in Havant is opening its doors to anyone with concerns about debt, unemployment or who is affected by the bedroom tax or benefit caps.
There will be representatives from more than 30 agencies, including housing services, Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Jobcentre Plus, Hampshire police, Quit 4 Life and The Beacon Food Bank.
There are food vouchers for local supermarkets, children’s activities on offer and free refreshments available.
The event takes place on Monday, October 6 from 10am to 2pm.
Councillor Yvonne Weeks, who is in charge of communities for Havant Borough Council, said: ‘The council is listening to residents’ circumstances and is doing everything they can to help support families and individuals who find themselves in difficulties.
‘If you are worried come along and talk to an adviser, it really does help to talk through your issues.’
