GARDENERS packed out Fareham town centre for a Gardeners Fair.

Green-fingered enthusiasts visited West Street for the event on Saturday.

There were nearly 30 businesses and community groups who were selling plants and flowers and giving tips and advice on gardening.

Patricia Gray, town centre manager, said: ‘It went fantastically well. It’s buzzing.

‘There were lots of people buying lots of plants and there are fresh strawberries from Titchfield too. It’s all small local independent growers. People can chat about plants and learn about them and talk to the people who grow them.’

The next fair is on Saturday, June 11.
