FRESH from the Libyan front line, HMS Brocklesby will sail into Grimsby for a five-day visit next week.

The Portsmouth-based minehunter is affiliated to the village of Brocklesby just outside Grimsby and will be there from Wednesday next week.

After keeping vital shipping lanes off Libya clear of mines, HMS Brocklesby recently returned to the UK to a rapturous welcome.

Her role was so vital that she was described by Commander in Chief Fleet, Admiral Sir Trevor Soar, as the ‘jewel in the crown’ of the Royal Navy’s contribution to operations in the region.
