FUNDING is available for small to medium sized companies which want to invest in staff training.

The Leadership and Management Advisory Service in the south east is offering matched funding of up to £1,000 to support businesses and social enterprises from two to 249 staff which have the potential for high or fast growth.

The funding can be used to develop leadership and management skills required to grow the business.

The service is provided through Skills South East.

Dave Rowland, chief executive of Skills South East, said: ‘The importance of securing competitive advantage in the UK and abroad will be critical over the next year.

‘The search for differentiation in business, and for products and services which meet changing consumer needs will continue across every sector.

‘We know there are skills gaps in specific sectors and this service goes some way to support business leaders as they look to lead their organisations forward.’
