A VETERINARY practice has opened its doors with help from NatWest.

Whiteley Village Vets, on Solent Business Park, has been launched by Cara Golden, who worked for 10 years in local general practice before becoming a mobile vet.

The asset finance arm of RBS, Natwest and Lomabard, loaned Ms Golden a six-figure sum to launch the practice.

NatWest relationship manager Steve Cripps worked with Ms Golden to secure the borrowing under the government’s Funding for Lending scheme.

Ms Golden said: ‘This whole venture has been about two-and-a-half years in the making, and over that time Steve has been extremely supportive. He recognised the fact we had a vision for something which offers a bit more than a usual practice.’

Mr Cripps said: ‘I am extremely pleased that perseverance has finally paid off. I wish them well for the future.’
