TOP work with businesses has won Gosport’s council national recognition.

The authority has been presented with its award for ‘all-round business friendliness’.

It won the accolade in the Federation of Small Business’ Local Authority Small Business Friendly Awards.

Caroline Collings, from the federation, presented the award. The council runs a website for small firms, with information on grants and funding and vacant premises.

The authority also offers one-to-one business support.
