A DEBT charity is warning people about new benefits.

Christians Against Poverty in Gosport is concerned about budgeting problems when the government’s universal credit system is rolled out.

It will see six working-age benefits merged into one.

Ruth Hobbs, from Gosport debt centre, said: ‘Some people will be unused to seeing so much in their account and won’t be aware that the security of their home depends on them managing it well.’
