THE cream of the crop in the celebrity chef world will visit Portsmouth for Gunwharf Quays’ food festival.

The event will host a variety of different sessions including live demonstrations from Jamie Oliver’s chef Darren Blunden.

Britain’s Best Dish winner Susie Carter will also show onlookers how to create the perfect picnic and visitors will have the chance to challenge her to a cook-off.

And celebrity chef Sean Wilson – better known as Martin Platt from Coronation Street – will be on the hob cooking up some tasty family treats, along with helpful hits and tips.

The Real Ale Marquee will be serving up to 30 different ale and ciders as well as hosting live music.

The festival starts on Friday and runs until Sunday.
