BUSINESS centres in Havant and Waterlooville have joined forces with a charity to help families with disabled children.

Basepoint Business Centres, which are located at Harts Farm Way and Waterberry Drive, have chosen to help raise funds for the charity Smile Support & Care.

Delivering more than 1,300 hours of community-based care per week, the Eastleigh-based charity helps a range of disabled children, including those with autism to those with chronic life-limiting conditions such as cystic fibrosis.

Karen Osborne, area manager for Basepoint, which has eight centres across Hampshire, said: ‘When we heard of the much-needed help Smile Support & Care provides to more than 270 young people in the region, we thought it would be a good idea to combine the support of all our Hampshire centres, which means we’ll be able to provide up to £80,000 in funding. We’re delighted to offer our support.’
