YOUNG people are being given the chance to learn about the internal workings of a music festival.

East Hampshire District Council is launching a six-week work experience opportunity for Butserfest 2013, which takes place at Queen Elizabeth Country Park on September 13.

The successful applicant will help generate awareness of the festival.

Councillor Ferris Cowper, leader of East Hampshire District Council, said: ‘I am proud to be able to offer this opportunity to local young people again this year. Butserfest is not only a fun project to be involved in, but it’s a real chance for a budding marketeer to shine.

‘Last year’s work experience team added their insight into what young people are doing and how best to reach them.’

The deadline for applications – a CV and supporting statement – is July 1. To find out more about the job, go to butserfest.co.uk or call Richard Wells on (01730) 234082.
