THE MP for Meon Valley is urging people to think about cutting their energy use and bills.
It comes as Big Energy Saving Week starts today.
It is an opportunity for families across Hampshire to learn how they can make their homes warmer and reduce their energy bills by making their property more energy efficient.
MP George Hollingbery, said: ‘With four energy companies recently announcing price rises between six and nine per cent, families need to be aware of what they can do to save cash this winter.
‘The reality is there is a lot of help available for many through grants for cavity wall and loft insulation. Just a bit of time spent switching energy suppliers or organising better insulation is good for the pocket and the environment.’
