SUPPORT is always there for people who find themselves in debt.

That is the message from charities which offer advice for people with financial problems.

Jane Tully from the Money Advice Trust, the charity which runs National Debtline, said: ‘If you are struggling to cope with unmanageable debt, the most important thing to know is that you are not alone. Whatever your circumstances and no matter how bad the situation seems, you can always access free, confidential advice and support.

‘The earlier you seek free advice, the easier it will be to improve your situation and take control of your debts.’

In Gosport, Christians Against Poverty supports people in debt. A spokesman said: ‘However hopeless things can seem, there is always a way forward.’
