THE gavel has dropped on a row of 13 lock-up garages behind shops in Beauchamp Avenue in Gosport.

TV’s Homes Under The Hammer auctioneer Rob Marchant, of Clive Emson auctioneers, ramped up the bidding at the Ageas Bowl auction to £75,000 – £50,000 more than the list price.

A three-bedroom, mid-terrace house at 34 Leonard Street, Gosport, sold freehold for £92,000.

Elsewhere, a half-acre plot of land adjoining Winhampton, Green Lane, Hambledon, fetched £54,000.
