Hungry Horse brings in pest control for mouse

THE company that runs a pub where a mouse was reportedly spotted has brought in extra pest control measures.

Diners said they saw a rodent in the restaurant on Tuesday evening at the Farmhouse, part of the Hungry Horse chain, in Burrfields Road, Copnor.

People shared their experience on social media.

One diner told the Spotted Portsmouth Facebook page: ‘People were freaking out.’

A spokesperson for the Farmhouse pub, which is owned by Greene King, said: ‘We always maintain an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness within the pub and take any complaint of this type extremely seriously.

‘The pub is close to fields so we have pest control measures already in place and make regular checks. In light of this incident we have asked Rentokil to conduct further checks.’
