Industrial development launched in Segensworth

A NEW industrial development that is set to bring 100 jobs and investment to the Fareham area has been launched with the support of agents Lambert Smith Hampton.

Marick Real Estate, advised by LSH, has secured two acres of industrial development land in Segensworth, off junction 9 of the M27. The site, off Cartwright Drive, will be known as J9 South and planning permission is being sought for a self-contained 50,000 sq ft unit.

Neighbouring occupiers at the site include Estee Lauder, Batleys Cash & Carry, Gestamp and Royal Mail.

Both LSH and their joint agents Jones Lang LaSalle are in discussions with a number of potential occupiers. The land was secured from marine electronics firm Raymarine as it was surplus to their requirements.

Jerry Vigus, from LSH, said: ‘This is a strategic site in an established industry/warehouse location where there is limited supply. The region is now experiencing the first real signs of speculative development and ‘J9 South’ is another exciting prospect.’
