BUSINESS owners and entrepreneurs got a boost at the launch of a free business training and mentoring scheme.

Fareham Borough Council partnered with enterprise agency Enterprise First to offer the support to small companies and start-ups in Fareham. The first ‘Fareham First for Business’ event was held on Wednesday at Ferneham Hall, Fareham.

Andy Pringle, from Enterprise First, said: ‘The evening was a success. The networking was particularly popular.’

The scheme gives advice on reaching customers via social media, property management and how to access finance.

Businesses and entrepreneurs can still sign up to the programme, e-mail andy.pringle@enterprisefirst.co.uk or call 01252 319272.
