AROUND 30 fun-filled jobs are to be created for people living in the Fareham area in November.

People looking for a job that’s more play than work will be able to join the team at a new Smyths Toys Superstore when it opens its doors to the public.

The newest addition to the national toy shop chain will be taking over the former 14,000 sq ft Allied Carpets unit in Southampton Road, Titchfield, from the middle of next month.

The toy retailer expects to create more than 30 jobs in the area.

Those jobs will range from retail assistants to management positions, with further posts being created in time for the Christmas rush.

Smyths Toys Superstores spokesman, Rob Guckian, said: ‘Smyths Toys Superstores are delighted to announce the opening of a new store.

‘Opening a new store is a great opportunity and is also sure to provide some
fantastic employment opportunities to the local community.

‘We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic staff and encourage them to find out more on our website at’

Smyths Toys Superstores operate from more than 60 stores throughout the UK and Ireland, where its head office is, and currently employ more than 1,500 people.

The new store will officially open on November 10 at 160 Southampton Road, Titchfield.
