NATIONAL employment firm Jobsite, which has its headquarters in Havant, has won a trophy in this year’s Responsible Business Awards.
Jobsite was named overall winner in the Inspiring Social Action in Young People category at Business in the Community’s annual awards.
Jobsite’s award-winning nationally-focused initiative Words Not Weapons was set up with charity Music Fusion, also based in Havant, to help keep young people away from violence, alcohol and drugs by enabling them to showcase their talents and build themselves as musicians.
It was recognised by judges for tackling one of the hardest social issues of gang culture with almost 100 young people turning against weapons as a result.
The firm was also regional heat winner in the same category for its work supporting the Pompey in the Community charity.
