TOMORROW is deadline day for The News’ Business Excellence Awards 2012.

By midnight tomorrow night all the entries will be signed, sealed and delivered, and it will be up to our panel of judges to decide the short list.

They will be revealed in a matter of weeks, as soon as the dust settles after the festive season.

Our aim is to celebrate what’s great about our local businesses, especially as the awards will be once again held against a background of economic uncertainty.

The News’ editor Mark Waldron, who will be one of the judges on our panel of business experts, said: ‘Our awards are now bigger than ever before, with each category winner for the first time going on to regional awards, organised by Johnston Press.

‘This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to showcase what they do, and to tell The News’s daily readers exactly why they deserve recognition – especially in today’s economic climate.

To enter, go to portsmouth.co.uk/enterbusinessawards and simply fill in the application form and email it to emma.judd@thenews.co.uk.

You can enter as many categories as you like, and it is free of charge.

But nominations must be received by midnight on Friday.
