Seven people from a Hampshire-based law firm are abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower this weekend in aid of the Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association.

Warner Goodman LLP is sponsoring Portsmouth DSA’s awareness week, which runs from March 16 to 26, and aims to raise over £1,000 from the abseil.

Claire Battye, partner at Warner Goodman LLP, said: ‘For the past two years we have pledged to donate £1 to the charity for every new Facebook ‘like’ they received during the week.

‘We were overwhelmed in the first year when they reached 1,000 new likes and last year we beat this with 2,000 new likes.’

‘The more people who like the page will not only mean more money donated to the charity, but will also increase their online presence and will put Portsmouth DSA and the work they do every day in the front of people’s minds.’
