A LAW firm has been thanked by a hospice after it raised money for the charity.

Verisona, in Lakeside, North Harbour, Portsmouth, helped raise £1,435 for The Rowans Hospice when it hosted a ‘Write a Will’ day at the hospice in Purbrook.

Specialists from the firm ran two 30-minute sessions to take instructions from staff members and volunteers who wanted to make a will.

Hayley Elmes, wills and probate solicitor, said: ‘We drafted wills for free on the understanding they would instead make a donation to the hospice in lieu of our fees.

‘I was delighted to help on behalf of the firm as I have visited the hospice and agree with my colleagues the work they do is absolutely amazing.’

Ann Cooper, head of communications at the hospice, said the session was helpful for staff.
