ENTHUSIASM and inspiration have won a national award for a leisure centre’s customer service manager.

Gary Paish, who works at at Fareham Leisure Centre, won an award for Most Inspiring Physical Activity Professional of the Year at the Active Training Awards 2014.

Mr Paish was rewarded for going above and beyond in his role and for his commitment to learning, as well as inspiring colleagues.

He joined Fareham Leisure Centre, which is run by Everyone Active in partnership with Fareham Borough Council, in 1986 and worked his way up from being a recreation assistant.

He said: ‘I’m over the moon and extremely happy to have won.

‘I’d like to thank all the team at Fareham Leisure Centre and Everyone Active for their ongoing support.’
