Local charity is chosen by business centre

A BUSINESS centre in Gosport has nominated Home-Start Gosport & Fareham as its chosen charity for 2013.

Home-Start Gosport and Fareham supports parents with at least one child under five who are dealing with issues such as isolation, mental health, domestic abuse, multiple birth, or difficult relationships.

Sarah-Jane Scott scheme manager, said: ‘We are delighted to be chosen as Gosport Business Centre’s Charity of the Year.

‘This opportunity will allow us to raise funds to help continue our unique home visiting service to families with children under five years old in the Gosport and Fareham Boroughs.

‘We’re grateful and look forward to working in partnership with them.’

Andrew Weston, centre manager at Basepoint, Gosport Business Centre added: ‘They do a wonderful job in supporting local families and I know of at least one who works at the business centre that has benefited from their help in the past.’
