ATS Euromaster celebrated two staff members’ dedication to the company.

Chris Hadley and Bill Hosey, between them, have worked for the car service company in Sharps Close, Portsmouth, for 70 years.

Mr Hosey, 64, joined the company in 1972 as a parts fitter.

In his four decades at the workshop, he has done every job going, working his way up to his current position of assistant centre manager.

He said: ‘Over the past 40 years I have made some great friends, as well as some great memories here at ATS. The bond between the team is fantastic, which makes it even easier to love working here.

‘My longstanding service is a testament to how enjoyable it has been – they just can’t get rid of me.’

Working alongside Mr Hosey, Mr Hadley will be celebrating another milestone this weekend as it will be 27 years to the day since he joined. The 58-year-old centre manager said: ‘I’ve been in the motor and tyre industry for a number of years, it’s always been a passion of mine. The centre in Portsmouth really is a great place to work. Every day brings a new challenge.

‘It’s a particularly exciting time to be working with the company, with ATS Euromaster investing more and more in new equipment to give our customers a better service.’

So far this year the company has invested £55,000 on refurbishing the centre, creating a more welcoming environment for its customers. A further £60,000 has been put into state-of-the-art MOT equipment.

To celebrate the pair’s long service, ATS Euromaster paid for them and their partners to enjoy dinner at Walton Hall in Warwickshire earlier this month.

‘It was such a lovely evening, I’m really grateful to all of the team here for their kindness,’ added Mr Hadley.

‘I am already looking forward to adding another year to my career at ATS.’

Area manager at ATS Euromaster, Robin Plater, said: ‘Chris and Bill’s commitment to our core values of honesty, care and expertise has meant thousands of customers have been in good hands.’

It is a year of milestones for the UK’s largest tyre service provider, as it celebrates half a century of trading later this year.

The company employs more than 3,500 people in the UK, providing national coverage for millions of drivers up and down the country.
