Manufacturer showcases innovative glove at show

A FAMILY-RUN manufacturing company from Petersfield is one of just 100 companies to have won a place in an exhibition of the most cutting-edge innovations in business today.

Morgan Innovation and Technology was selected to showcase its innovation to 2,500 attendees at Innovate 2016 on November 2 in Manchester.

Morgan IAT, in conjunction with the University of Southampton, is developing an innovative system for the hand that will provide people with a sense of touch.

The product could be used in stroke rehabilitation, virtual reality, augmented reality gaming and other interactive applications.

Innovate UK chief executive Ruth Mckernan said: ‘Innovate 2016 will be an excellent opportunity for Morgan IAT to showcase the Haptics glove to a national and international audience.

‘I congratulate Morgan IAT on its success in winning a place and look forward to their involvement in our annual flagship show.’

Innovate 2016 is the UK’s largest multi-sector innovation event and is organised by Innovate UK and the Department for International Trade.

It creates opportunities for export and investment for the UK’s most innovative companies.
