PEOPLE are being encouraged to vote for the Mary Rose Museum as their favourite new building.
This year’s Solent Design Awards are looking at buildings that have sustainability and compatibility with surroundings and communities.
The Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth is one of seven that has been shortlisted for fulfilling that criteria.
The awards are run by the Partnership for Urban South Hampshire (Push), and a panel of judges will be looking at picking its winner.
But it is not just down to them, a public vote will also be taken into account.
Councillor Sean Woodward, leader of Fareham Borough Council and chairman of Push, said: ‘The public vote is as just as important as our judges’ decision.
‘After all, people live and work in these places and spaces and so their decision is vital in choosing the best design.’
Votes can be cast from October 13, and people have until November 3. Visit solentdesignawards.org.uk
