PLANS to link the UK’s electricity network with France will be discussed at a series of community meetings.

Fareham Borough Council is holding a Community Action Team (CAT) meeting in Stubbington Baptist Church on Thursday, December 10 at 7pm to talk about the National Grid plan, known as IFA2.

The electricity interconnector project will provide enough electricity to power around 1m homes.

National Grid is also holding meetings on the topic.

They will take place at:

n Lockswood Community Centre, Locks Heath, on Tuesday, from 1.30pm to 5.30pm;

n St Faith’s Parish Centre, Lee-on-the-Solent, Tuesday, 4pm to 8pm;

n Stubbington Baptist Church, December 10, 3pm to 7pm;

n Warsash Victory Hall, December 11, 4pm to 8pm;

n Crofton Community Centre, Stubbington, December 12, 10am to 4pm;

n Peel Common Junior School, The Drive, Gosport, December 13, 11am to 3pm.
