TRIPS to France will be made easier this summer.

Southampton Airport is introducing a series of flights to Lorient in Brittany by Eastern Airways.

There will be flights available on July 10 and July 13 as well as August 7, August 10, August 14 and August 17.

On Fridays, take off will be 12.05pm with arrival time in Lorient at 2.20pm local time. On Mondays, flights will be three hours later at 3.05pm. Jan Halliday, Southampton Airport’s director of marketing and communications, said: ‘Our new summer service to Lorient perfectly complements our existing portfolio of fantastic destinations in regional France.

‘The flights will operate on selected dates and it’s one of the quickest ways to get to this totally unspoilt part of the Morbihan region.’
