THE streets will be alive with the sound of music this month in Fareham.

Working with local musicians, Fareham town centre management is putting on the third music month event this April.

This year will see a newly extended programme of performances every Monday, Friday and Saturday in April, when there will be live music from noon to 2pm at various locations along the length of West Street.

From buskers to bands and soloists to pipers, there will be a whole range of styles, from classical and traditional to up-and-coming contemporary. As well as using the podium in the precinct, Westbury Manor Museum and Holy Trinity Church grounds, businesses and shops are also using their premises.
