A NATIONAL recruitment company has seen its profits increase by 25 per cent, according to its preliminary annual report.

Matchtech Group, which has its headquarters in Segensworth, also saw its revenue increase by 23 per cent to £371.4m in the year to July 31.

Strength in the engineering recruitment sectors has added to the group’s success, with ‘unprecedented demand’ for contractors being received by the company.

George Materna, chairman of Matchtech, said: ‘The changes we introduced over the past two years to the group’s structure position us well for continued growth, particularly by supplying more contractors to UK clients who have global demand for their services or are working on large, multi-year engineering infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas markets.

‘We look forward with confidence to the year ahead.’

Matchtech won national fame earlier this year after one of its employees, Ricky Martin, won the BBC reality business competition The Apprentice.
