THE Solent Local Enterprise Partnership is offering local business people the chance to sit on its board alongside representatives from local government and higher education.
Solent currently has a shadow board, chaired by councillor Seán Woodward, which will be replaced when the new board is elected.
The LEP will be business-led, and a chairman will be elected from its business-based board members.
Cllr Woodward said: ‘We are looking for a balanced board with a mixture of different skills and backgrounds covering both the economic geography of the Solent area and the key sectors.
‘Board members will be ambassadors for the Solent region and will be leading the work to develop local solutions to enhance the economic prospects for the area.’
