BUSINESS-MINDED people in Portsmouth who want to help care for people can apply for a new franchise scheme.
Heritage Healthcare has launched a franchising division and wants ambitious people in the city to set up and run their own care firms.
The care business offers home-based care and wants to expand on the south coast.
It says there are ten million people in the country over 65 and that this will increase by 5.5 million in 20 years.
And as the state pays out £20bn for elderly care, the firm says there will be an increased demand for home-based care as the government looks to reduce the amount of residential-based care.
Each new franchisee will arrange for carers to help people in their own homes and will be responsible for an area of 10,000 people.
