MORE than 35 new jobs will be created as a new cinema prepares to open.

Cineworld in Whiteley will open its new nine-screen cinema in the Whiteley Shopping Centre in November.

An open day for prospective employees will be held on Saturday at the Solent Hotel in Rookery Avenue.

The recruitment session will be open from 10am until 4pm and no pre-registration is required.

The available positions include part and full-time roles, with jobs including Cineworld supervisor and team member.

The recruitment day will offer the opportunity to find out more about the available jobs, ask any questions and apply.

Martin Floyd, Cineworld Whiteley general manager, said: ‘I’m really excited to be part of this new project and am looking forward to opening Whiteley’s first cinema.

‘Cineworld is a great company to work for, with fantastic career prospects.

‘We encourage local people to come down to the open day on September 12 at the Solent Hotel to find out more and hopefully join our team.’

For those unable to make the recruitment day, please visit cineworld.co.uk/careers to find out more by Friday, September 18.
