A new partnership to drive economic prosperity in Hampshire has gone from strength-to-strength.

The strategic partnership between Hampshire County Council and Business South aims to support Hampshire’s future economic prosperity, in sectors such as marine and aerospace.

On behalf of the region’s network of senior business leaders, and representing a workforce of around 100,000 people, the recently-appointed chairman of Business South, Hazel Warwick, alongside CEO Sally Thompson met with Councillor Roy Perry, council leader and Councillor Rob Humby, the county council’s rural affairs champion.

Councillor Perry said: ‘Ensuring that Hampshire remains a prosperous county, while at the same time protecting our outstanding natural environment, remain central objectives of the County Council.

‘That’s why this partnership with Business South is a critical element of our economic development activities.’
