ONE of the south’s most successful shopping precincts has hired two new execs to spearhead future marketing campaigns.

Land Securities, the company that owns Gunwharf Quays, has appointed Yvonne Clay to the role of senior marketing manager and Ian Bayne as marketing manager.

Ms Clay and Mr Bayne have more than 30 years of marketing experience between them.

Ms Clay said she was delighted about her new job.

She said: ‘I am thrilled to have been appointed as Gunwharf Quays’ senior marketing manager. Gunwharf Quays is an incredibly exciting brand to work with, and I’m delighted to be joining the team during another strong period of growth and regeneration.’

Ms Clay said she expected the centre would see strong growth in the future, and plans for yet more outlet stores at the site were in train.

She said: ‘I’m looking forward to building on the success of the centre as the south’s leading fashion and leisure destination.

‘And with so many developments and new store openings in the pipeline, I am keen to encourage even more guests to visit Portsmouth and further enhance its appeal.’

Ms Clay and Mr Bayne will be responsible for encouraging more people to visit Gunwharf Quays, while enhancing the experience of current visitors.

Gunwharf Quays has more than 90 outlet stores and 30 restaurants, bars and cafés.

The centre opened in 2001 after a six-year conversion from military site HMS Vernon.
