FAREHAM’S residents can use recycling banks to get rid of their cardboard for the first time.

The blue banks at 13 recycling centres across Fareham borough now accept both paper and card.

Cardboard can already be recycled through home blue-top recycling bins, but the recycling banks offer an easier way to dispose of larger items.

Councillor Keith Evans, in charge of streetscene matters, said: ‘I am delighted with extra recycling service, which gives residents even more ways to recycle their waste.’

To find your nearest facility, go online at fareham.gov.uk/recycling or call 01329 236100.
