JOBSEEKERS in the healthcare industry are being invited to an open day and a training session to help them find work.

The events are being organised by STR Health Group at its headquarters at 1 Quay Point, North Harbour.

The open day is on Monday, January 23 from 10.30am until 7.30pm, and is free to attend.

The group will be looking to register jobseekers who are Registered General Nurses of all grades, health care assistants and support workers.

The group says it has a number of jobs available at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham and other hospitals and clinics locally.

A high number of people are expected to attend, so booking ahead is advised.

To book an appointment to attend the open day, call Sarah Clark on (023) 9232 2391.

The training session will be held on Monday, January 30, from 9.15am, and will cover basic life support and manual handling, with certificates for those who complete them.

Claire Wolstencroft, of STR, said: ‘At STR Health, we recognise the importance of personal development and industry related qualifications for healthcare professionals.

‘By having these certificates, you will increase your chances of employment in the sector.’

To attend the training, book your space by contacting Emma O’Neill, head of healthcare contracts on (023) 9231 4685, or email eoneill@strgroup.co.uk.
