A PETROL station is set to reopen after major renovation works.

The BP petrol station, in Northern Road, Cosham will open again on Wednesday, July 20.

Work has been carried out by Wyeth Project Services, including demolition of the old site, reconstruction of a new forecourt and a larger single-storey shop, as well as new pumps and a canopy.

The petrol station is owned by Malthurst Retail, which owns more than 450 service stations across the country.

The company applied for permission for 24-hour opening from Portsmouth City Council, and was successful.
