Pompey fans are invited to join Blues legends for a charity football match to help raise funds for Portsmouth in the Community and Portsmouth Youth Academy.

Organised by Covers Timber and Builders Merchants and Portsmouth FC, spectators will have the opportunity to see past Pompey players, including Darren Anderton and Paul Walsh, take on a Covers team made up of staff and customers during four 30-minute matches at Fratton Park.

The action gets under way from 3.30pm on Sunday, May 22.

Steve Weston, director of sales at Covers, said: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for any avid Pompey fan or football enthusiast to come and see some legendary Portsmouth FC players revisit the hallowed pitch at Fratton Park.

‘The charities are both fantastic causes helping to support the local community so we would like to encourage as many people as possible to join us.’

Entry to the matches will be by donation on the day of the event.
