There will be free parking all day at car parks in Wootton Street, Cosham; London Road, Cosham; Stubbington Avenue, North End; Ashby Place, Southsea and Clarence Street in the city centre.

Councillor Donna Jones, leader of the Portsmouth City Council, said: ‘There are more than 6,000 small businesses in the city and we want them to do well. That’s why we’re making this move on Small Business Saturday.

‘It’s an event that reminds us that shopping local and using local firms are key to the prosperity of our city.’
