PORTSMOUTH Water is celebrating winning an award for its continuing commitment to health and safety.

The company is to be presented with the Gold Medal from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

It is given to firms which have won eight consecutive gold awards at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards.

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: ‘RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition.

‘Portsmouth Water has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.’

The medal will be presented to the firm at this year’s RoSPA awards in May.
